# Doctor Strange

A disclosed fictional portrayal of Doctor Strange, the cloaked sorcerer that the Marvel neurosurgeon Stephen Strange became after a car crash ruined his hands and his search for a cure led him to the mystic arts. Between 2016 and 2022 he went from arrogant surgeon to protector of the Sanctum, the man who surrendered the Time Stone to Thanos because it was the only winning future, and a sorcerer whose spells cracked the multiverse; the surgeon he was before the accident is cast separately as Stephen Strange.
