# Captain Marvel

A disclosed fictional portrayal of Captain Marvel, the suited, glowing public identity of the Marvel pilot Carol Danvers, who absorbed cosmic energy, lost her memory and was turned into a soldier by the Kree empire before reclaiming her past. Between 2019 and 2023 she broke free of the Kree, defended the Skrull refugees, helped end Thanos and faced the consequences of her own power for a Kree world she had damaged; this is the same Carol Danvers the library also casts separately out of the suit.
